If Obama Wins or Loses There Will be Racial Tension

Folks

This is an election and NOT a civil war!!!

In the so called God’s own country, politicians use words such as ‘FIGHT’ for this or that, to indicate their sense of commitment. Why FIGHT? It is shameful that an election that should denote the highest level of civility is subject to all kinds of innuendoes, falsehood, misrepresentation and machinations were what goes on in America to happen elsewhere, they will be labeled barbaric. But in our own very America, grown folks lie, use imprudent means and tactics, in the name of wanting to serve and to win at all cost.

America that holds itself as the beacon to guide humanity to what it is capable of doing, often act contradictory to such golden rule. This unchecked conduct has fueled unprecedented contempt, a trend the rest of the world has come to understand and appreciate; something leading to questioning the moral basis for America to tell anyone what to do. The advent of the internet has brought America into the living rooms of many around the world, making many want to shun America because of the dose of trash inherent in its politics.

Why the war of words and cheats because of an election? If we should go to the polls to elect whomever we want [cheer our dog in the fight], why must we look up to the media to guide us in such exercise? Only fools will subscribe to that.

I am glad I live in America because living in the country has afforded me the opportunity to stand up to any American no matter their position. Looking into America from afar creates impression of ‘Holier Than Thou’, but a closer look, it is full of all the craps that happen elsewhere in the world, except that in America, it is dressed better. ‘Every dog is a shit eater. It is only that dog that leaves a shit in its mouth gets called a name’.

Whether OBAMA wins or not, he has achieved a level many are not able to do. OBAMA should be celebrated because he is what many would like as a brother, son, husband, friend and compatriot. He brings common sense to issues and leave room for errors because no one is absolute on solutions for the challenges that face humanity. George Bush thought the world was what he thought of it until he was rudely awakened to the various regional and global sentiments and issues that make best intentions look stupid.

While we are fortunate to have what we have in America, we must never out of sheer foolish pride think we are better than most. Statistically, it is highly improbable that the life of 300 million people would be better than that of 6 billion scattered outside of America. But when we believe in what America media spins about the superiority of the American content, we set up ourselves for undue shock because the world is waking up and doing so faster than any other period in history.

If common sense is a faculty anyone could use and rely on in order to decipher what is good, reasonable, just, fair and equitable, why do many Americans rely on the media that is overly biased to get their information? It is an easy escape from serious thought process.

Since I came to this country, I have seen grown folks rely on the media to form their opinion. If we were to revise things; assuming the whites suffered what the blacks have suffered, and a white person appears to have a chance to turn things around, there is no doubt where their feelings will lie. But for black folks, suffering from years of being told what to do, how to do it, where and when to do it, they always have doubt about their own.

Take a black man and a white man to meet a group of black folks; chances are black folks will be more open to the white fella than their own even though the white person’s content may be marginal. Were Obama a white person, granted he is 50/50, he would have been hailed as the next best thing since slice bread. In spite of his education, enviable track records, he is still considered not good enough. That is America where a marginal white person is seen as superior to a high content black person.

Who says slavery does not have lasting impact?

Until black folks imbibe a sense of self and do so unapologetically, see nothing wrong in supporting their own when such support go to change the course of history, they shall forever remain subservient.

OBAMA is better than McCain, all things considered and being equal. McCain; a man that finished at near bottom of his class, was a marginal naval officer, used his POW situation to get elected to Congress, and ever since capitalized on such emotional display, is likely to become leader of America. Here is a man who did not VOTE to make Martin Luther King a national holiday and State of Arizona still remain a state that does not recognize such holiday. What a man. McCain is not an inclusive man.

Whatever happens in this election, we must remember that God did not create the black man to be a door mat for all other races to rob their feet on and move on and over. I refuse to be in such class. As Igbos of Nigeria say; ‘when one reduce their being to that of a rat, the pussy cat for sure come pouncing’. As one makes their bed so shall they lie on it. It is about time the black man wake up from his deep slumber and take the mantle of things within his reach without fear or favor, and definitely no apologies.

I VOTE for the right reason to be part of something positively different. Most people opposed to OBAMA have shallow content despite their posturing as renowned thinkers, writers and authors. But in America where pseudo-intellects by default take the place of seasoned intellects, they have audience more like when the desirable is not available, the available becomes somehow desirable by default. Igbos say because ‘the mechanic and the mad man all look alike, it is hard to tell who is who’. I know who is who because Common Sense is the basis of intelligence and for some it is not Common.

America media is a crock and only those that have had the benefit of living in many countries can tell they are that. For a country that describes itself in speculative terms, how come we are in the mess we are in with all the so called experts in tow? All that glitters is not gold, it maybe zinc and quick to rust.

My answer, they are all PSEUDO.
